The Bannatyne health club in Banbury is appealing to members to help give local vulnerable children a treat this Easter.
All Bannatyne Health Clubs are collecting Easter eggs, and each has chosen a local worthy recipient to receive them with the Banbury club nominating Samuel’s charity. In return the member will receive a complimentary day pass, to be used by a friend or family member before the end of April 2020.
Samuel lost his battle on 22nd Jan 2014 aged 9 years old to a very rare form of cancer, a Precursor T Cell Lymphoma, a blood cancer. During his time in hospital he went through a horrible ordeal – especially the vast amount of medicines and their side painful effects.
Through all of this Samuel was an inspiration to those around him, his courage and personality were phenomenal. He wanted to start this charity to help other sick and terminally ill kids and their families get through this tough period and improve their time in hospital, a time that is stressful, painful and sometimes scary.
The club’s general manager Ben Clowes said: “We know that our members will be generous, as they always are when we support good causes.
“Bannatyne Health Club and Spa Banbury prides itself on being part of the local community and we are thrilled to be able to support Samuel’s Charity and donate some chocolate goodies.”
