SO Resi, the shared ownership brand for Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing, has won a coveted First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards during this year’s ceremony, which took place virtually on Friday 23rd October. The housing association was crowned the winner in the ‘Most Innovative Marketing Campaign’ category thanks to its mission to raise awareness of shared ownership.
The award aims to recognise the most innovative marketing campaign that has been carried out using all forms of media, enabling first time buyers to find affordable housing, government schemes and mortgage deals. SO Resi was judged based on its dedicated shared ownership brand that aims to educated homebuyers about the product, change perceptions and dispel common myths.

“Our dedicated shared ownership campaign has proven to be successful – with a 73% increase in website traffic in 2019, more than 12,000 registrations between April and October 2019, and 11% of visits turning into a reservation. Now in their 11th year, the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards celebrate the companies and individuals that have gone above and beyond to help first time buyers get a foot onto the property ladder. Leading members of the property industry attended the event virtually, as television duo Jonnie Irwin (the face of A Place in the Sun and Escape to the Country) and Nicki Chapman (best known for Escape to the Country) reunited to present the awards, which recognise the best of the best in the property industry.
