Mixed use developer First Base and investors Railways Pension Fund (RPMI Railpen) are seeking to partner with local Cambridge-based organisations, that provide novel, innovative and sustainable solutions, on its emerging proposals for redevelopment of the Tavis Perkins site on Devonshire Road. Plans for the new site, Devonshire Gardens, will comprise Build-to-Rent apartments, multi-use workspaces and leisure and community spaces centred around a new public park.
First Base invites local organisations to apply to join a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event on Thursday 06 May 2021 where they will be able to present and discuss their solutions with First Base during one-to-one meetings.
The event is facilitated by Cambridge Cleantech which is accepting applications from organisations until Monday 26 April 2021.

Our aim for this event is to meet and partner with Cambridge organisations to further develop plans for the site, using the most innovative and sustainable building solutions.”
First Base is seeking innovative solutions, technologies, and products for the Devonshire Gardens project from organisations in the following areas:
- Building-integrated PV solutions
- Latest, efficient, rooftop systems
- Latest novel technologies for PV in terms of power, flexibility and efficiency (including PV film and glass)
- Solutions to transfer PV into EV charging and other sustainable/community-focused amenities
- Air quality solutions (indoors & outdoors)
- Innovative technologies in indoor air filtration systems that promote clean air and fight viruses
- Air purity techniques to fight pollution and improve health and wellbeing
- Air quality monitoring (outdoor)
- Future Mobility / EV charging solutions / hydrogen
- Heating / energy efficiency/ storage & balancing / phase change materials
- Water reuse & efficiency / SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems)
