Bannatyne Health Club Chingford has appointed a new general manager to oversee operations at the club.

Paul Jordan joined the club as it prepared for reopening on 25 July for the first time since the UK went into lockdown.

Paul’s career has been centred around fitness and worked in the military for 15 years as a senior instructor in the Royal Army Physical Training Corps, and later in his career as an airborne soldier.

Following his stint in the Forces, Paul worked as a close protection officer in America for high profile celebrities including Brad Pitt and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Originally from Norwich, Paul is an ex-rugby player and still enjoys working out frequently to maintain his fitness. When he’s not at work or training in the health club, he is a closet Downton Abbey fan!

Paul said: “The Bannatyne Group has an excellent reputation within the fitness sector and I am very proud to join a progressive and innovative company.

“I’m delighted to join the team here at Chingford and I am really looking forward to getting to know all the members now that we have reopened. I have always had a passion for fitness, and I am pleased I can share my enthusiasm with Bannatyne Chingford members.

“Since reopening on 25 July, we’ve had a great response from members who are really keen to reinvigorate their fitness regimes and lose some of those lockdown pounds!”
