Luxury housebuilder Mulberry Homes have been providing homes for a different kind of customer – barn owls.
New Barn Owl Nest Box at Mulberry Homes’ Clifton Gardens
Mulberry Homes has donated a specially-made barn owl nest box to Clifton All Saints Academy, close to its Clifton Gardens development in Clifton.
Rebecca Byrne, Headteacher at Clifton All Saints Academy, said: “We are exceptionally grateful to Mulberry Homes for donating the Owl Box to Clifton All Saints Academy.
“We are very lucky to have a beautiful woodland area at the back of the school and have often seen foxes and Red Kites in our grounds. The children are very excited that an Owl may make his home in our grounds. The Owl Box has certainly captured the children’s interest and will provide real life contexts for learning.”
Alongside donating a brand-new barn owl nest box to Clifton All Saints Academy, Mulberry Homes also had a second nest box specially-made for Clifton Gardens.
Last October, Mulberry Homes installed its first nest box on the development to benefit a barn owl which often visits the site.

“Since installing the first nest box in October, it’s been a great source of pride for us at Mulberry Homes to have a barn owl take up residence there, and we’re looking forward to seeing to second nest box become a home too.”
