Kent-based chartered accountants Perrys will be hosting a free breakfast seminar on Monday 11 March to provide local businesses with insight and information on the new Making Tax Digital (MTD) rules which come into effect from 1 April.
The government’s new initiative will affect VAT-registered companies with a taxable turnover above the VAT threshold (currently £85,000).
Starting at 8am, the chartered accountants will host a series of presentations covering a range of topics relating to MTD, including what it means, how it will impact businesses, bookkeeping provisions, and compatible software platforms. There will also be a chance for delegates to ask questions and discuss the topics in more depth with a range of specialists.
CEO at Perrys Chartered Accountants Stewart Pope said:
“MTD is a major and important change for businesses and our free seminar will be an invaluable opportunity for companies and business owners to gather up as much information as possible so they are fully prepared for the 1 April deadline.”
The free event will be held at Hadlow Manor Hotel in Hadlow on Monday 11 March. A light breakfast will be served from 8am and presentations will start at 9am and end at 11am. Spaces are limited and guests must register their attendance in advance by contacting Caroline Hoare on 01892 559480 or emailing hoare@perry-company.co.uk.
