Mulberry Homes has officially opened the doors to its Clifton Gardens development in Clifton, and treated Bedfordshire property seekers to specially-prepared canapés from a previous Masterchef contestant.

Clifton Gardens, located on Broad Street, will consist of a stunning collection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, and is the housebuilder’s sixth development in county.

The launch event took place on Saturday 26th February, and allowed property seekers to meet with the sales team and tour the four-bedroom Harrington style showhome. Visitors were also provided with canapés from chef Alec Tomasso, who featured on Masterchef in 2012.

Alec Tomasso, known as The Weeping Chef, is now in his seventh year of providing a professional catering service. Before appearing on Masterchef, Alec worked as an engineering manager with a passion for cooking, but has since left his day job to pursue a culinary career.

Alec said: “It was really nice meeting and engaging with the future tenants of the beautiful homes, they really enjoyed the bespoke canapés I created for them. I look forward to hopefully cooking for some of them in the future, be it a housewarming BBQ or fine dining meal.

“To celebrate the success of the event, I would like to take the opportunity to offer a ten per cent discount on our services to every new owner at the development when they quote Mulberry Clifton Gardens.”

Kerry Jones, Sales and Marketing Director at Mulberry Homes, said: “We are very proud to have officially launched our wonderful Clifton Gardens development in Clifton, and to have invited local property seekers to tour our fantastic showhome.

“We’d like to thank Alec for providing our visitors with such incredible food, and hope that he enjoyed the event just as much as we did!

“Clifton Gardens has been carefully designed to incorporate a range of sustainable, built-in features, such as barn owl nest boxes and hedgehog highways. The development will also benefit from our industry-leading ‘The Mulberry Way’ initiative, which includes electric car charging points and automated smart parcel delivery boxes.

“This development forms an exciting part of our growth plans at Mulberry Homes. We’re thrilled to be continuing our success in Bedfordshire, and providing local people with homes that they can feel proud to call theirs.”

Clifton is a small village near Biggleswade, on the west bank of the River Ivel, where residents can benefit from having a range of amenities on their doorsteps, such as pubs and restaurants, parks, and a selection of schools for all ages.

For nature lovers, both the Stofold Watermill and Oughtonhead Common Nature Reserves are approximately 10-minutes’ drive away, offering peaceful walks through meadows, wetlands and woodlands.

Clifton is well-connected, with Arlesey train station just three-miles away, providing regular services to London King’s Cross and Peterborough. Flitwick train station is also close-by and provides direct services to nearby Bedford and Luton, as well as London St Pancras and Brighton, making it perfect for commuters.
