London, 4th September 2025 – eBay is announcing the return of its Van Conversion of the Year Awards, celebrating the best Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) conversions in the UK.

For the third year running, the UK’s largest online automotive marketplace for vehicle parts and accessories, is seeking the best fit-outs across a range of categories. From mobile dog washing conversions and unique camper concepts to vans used by traditional trades, all van converters are welcome to enter and could win £10,000 in cash.

Continuing the success of previous years, eBay has re-enlisted architect and presenter George Clarke to act as head judge.

The rest of the expert panel will include Abir Tewari, UK Director of Commercial Operations for eBay parts and accessories; Mark Cropley, The Van Conversion Expert, founder of Whitebox Vans and Wildbox Adventure Vehicles, and will also include a key figure from the van-life community. The judging panel will identify individual category winners from the shortlisted entries, before choosing the overall Van Conversion of the Year.

George Clarke, TV Presenter and Architect, said: Each year I look forward to seeing the range of conversions that eBay celebrates through its Van Conversion of the Year Awards. We’ve had some truly amazing bespoke hobby and business winners, but it’s also fantastic to see the smaller purpose-led tweaks owners make to their vehicles. These niche fittings and additions truly embody the DIY spirit of eBay and what this competition represents.”

Abir Tewari, UK Director of Commercial Operations, Parts & Accessories at eBay, said: “At eBay, we love to champion those who use our huge range of parts and accessories to build and create the vehicles of their dreams. Over the previous years, we’ve seen some impressive creations that truly epitomise the DIY spirit of our customers and everything eBay stands for.”

Entries are now open and set to close at 23.59 Sunday 26 October, with the winners to be announced in November. Previous category winners include everything from a vintage bakery van created from a 60-year-old Bedford CA to a minimalist Nissan e-NV200 electric camper van. Category winners will each receive £250 worth of eBay coupons. The Overall Van Conversion of the year award winner will receive a £10,000 cash prize.

Last year’s winner was Essex DJ, Jack Lydon who created a mobile DJ studio camper, allowing him to travel across Europe creating music inspired by the different countries. The inaugural winner, in 2023, was pub owner Paul White who transformed a decommissioned ambulance into a mobile bar, the AmBEERlance.

Entries are now open, closing at 23:59 on Sunday 26 October. For more information about the awards, or to enter, visit : https://pages.ebay.co.uk/van-conversion-awards/
