Pub-goers in Hornchurch are in for a treat this spring when the Sutton Arms reopens on Thursday 11th April following a £200,000 investment.

Located in the centre of Hornchurch, the revamp makes the Sutton Arms the perfect place to socialise with friends and family whatever the occasion or time of year. A giant sports video wall and 22 brand new HDTVs have been added to create a hub which is sure to be a huge hit with fans of all sports. The new-look pub is set to be the hub for the community, with a speed quiz every Wednesday and resident DJ from Thursday to Saturday nights.

Offering a welcoming and relaxed environment to spend time with friends and loved-ones, the pub will provide a wide range of well-priced food and drink and a selection of hand pulled ales – including Doom Bar and Goose IPA. Those seeking a more refreshing tipple have an extensive range of gins to choose from, served as a cocktail or in a highball glass with plenty of ice and generous wedges of fruit. The food menu includes pub classics, burgers and kid’s meals as well as an extended selection of veggie and vegan specials such as cauliflower dhansak curry and Thai lentil pie.

A host of special weekly offers will ensure the pub continues to provide well-priced food and drink. They include discounted big plates on ‘Might Mondays’; burgers and a choice of drink on Tuesdays; pie and a pint on Wednesdays; a grilled dish and a drink on Thursdays; any classic dish and a drink on Fridays, all from £5.99; and five pick ‘n’ mix dishes for £9.49 on Saturdays.

General Manager, Mehmet Erguvem, will be celebrating the opening with a grand launch party between 5pm and 7pm on Thursday 11th April, welcoming new and existing customers with a free glass of fizz for the first 100 guests and canapes to show off the new menu. Furthermore, on Friday 26th April, former professional footballer and now television commentator Tony Cottee will make an appearance in the refurbished venue from 6pm.

Mehmet said: “The team and I are incredibly excited to reveal the Sutton Arms transformation to the people of Hornchurch. The new interior looks amazing and we have great plans to deliver a fantastic customer experience and make a positive difference to the local community. We have a broad selection of well-priced food and drink, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone in to enjoy what we have created.”
